How to play WEBZEN

Back in March, WEBZEN announced a fairly extensive 2016 lineup. At the time, the company planned to release a mobile ARPG called The Beast, mobile version of Continent of the Ninth Sealand Shot Online, a PC MMORPG called Light Fall, MU Legend, and unannounced franchising projects for both MU Online and Soul of the Ultimate Nation. Since then, The Beast has launched in South Korea, the mobile version of Continent of the Ninth Seal and Light Fall have been canceled, the mobile version of Shot Online has launched in South Korea, and what I assume was the MU Online franchising project, the 37Games-developed browser title MU Ignition, has launched in South Korea.

Today, WEBZEN announced that they will be showcasing a mere two titles at G-Star 2016: MU Legend, which is currently holding its first global Closed Beta, and an adult-oriented mobile MMORPG called "Azera: Iron Heart," a spin-off of the adult-oriented PC MMORPG Azera, which was never released in the West. The Soul of the Ultimate Nation franchising project appears to be unaccounted for.

WEBZEN's plans for G-Star 2016 are described as follows.

Developed by Korean developer Timber Games, AZERA: IRON HEART is a mobile MMORPG like no other, combined with the thrilling and immersive storyline and Hack ‘n’ Slash action. WEBZEN will showcase AZERA: IRON HEART demo for the first time which demonstrates the film quality 3D cinematics, massive PvP contests, a real time competitive gameplay at G-Star 2016. The Closed Beta is set to begin in December 2016, South Korea, and the official launch will follow afterwards.

WEBZEN is also gearing up for more public hands-on demonstrations and will be showing a brand-new cinematic trailer of the upcoming PC online game MU LEGEND. MU LEGEND is the upcoming Hack ‘n’ Slash MMO and the long awaited follow-up to the popular MU Online. MU LEGEND features unparalleled gameplay that not only caters to the millions of MU fans from the past decade, but is also easy to pick up and play for newcomers.

WEBZEN also announced that the MU Legend KR's Open Beta is expected to begin in Q1 2017. There is no news about a global Open Beta as of yet, as the first global Closed Beta just started yesterday.
